I'm a Mama of a Viral-Induced Asthma Kiddo
As a fellow mama of a 17-month old with viral induced asthma (diagnosed after 4 ER visits in 4 months), I've first-hand witnessed the gaps, barriers, and access in our healthcare system for children under 5 years old with asthma.
Even for someone that has worked in medical technology for over 15 years, the lack of education, awareness, and support was isolating. At times I felt (and still feel) helpless and I'm determined that no other parent should ever feel the same way.
